01 // ABOUT GEL BLASTING

What is Gel Blasting?

Gel blasting is a recreational activity similar to paintball or airsoft, where players use gel blasters that shoot soft, water-filled gel beads. It's a fun, safe, and environmentally friendly sport enjoyed by people of all ages. All players are placed on 2 teams and run through our field playing a range of different gamemodes such as capture the flag, team death match, domination and many more!

Does Gel Blasting hurt?

Gel balls typically cause minimal discomfort on impact, similar to a light sting or flick by a rubber band. The level of impact can vary depending on the power of the gel blaster and the distance from which you're hit. Generally, Gel blasting hurts less than alternatives such as paintball or airsoft.

Are Gel Blasters Safe?

Yes, gel blasters are safe when used responsibly. Guns can malfunction if abused or misused. However, if gel blasters are being taken care of and used responsibly, they are safe to use. Users and players should familiarise themselves with gel blaster care and safety rules such as the basic rules of 'gun safety' such as using their blasters safety mode, not pointing at themselves or other individuals in the absense of safety/protective gear.

Can kids use gel blasters / Play gel ball?

Yes, gel blasters are suitable for kids with adult supervision. Ensure that children understand and follow safety rules, wear protective gear, and use age-appropriate blasters.

What gear do I need to participate?

To play gel blasting, you'll need a gel blaster, gel balls (ammunition), and eye protection like goggles or full face mask to ensure proper safety. Optional gear, such as tactical clothing, vests and gloves can provide added protection and enhance immersion or experience. For intense matches, some players also use knee and elbow pads for comfort and safety whilst maneuvering.

What are Gels / Gel Balls made of?

Gel balls are made of a super-absorbent polymer. They start as small, hard pellets and expand into soft, larger spheres when soaked in water for typically 2-3 hours. They are non-toxic, biodegradable, and environmentally friendly.

Is Gel Blasting Legal in Queensland?

Yes, gel blasters are legal in Queensland. They do not require a license or permit to own or use. However, users must handle gel blasters responsibly and avoid using them in a way that could alarm others, such as displaying them in public places.

Can I bring my own food and drink?
