OUR FIELD RULES

By participating in games at Gel City, you are agreeing to abide by our rules and policies for safe and fun game-play. We reserve the right to remove any players whom are in breach of these rules, or who's conduct is considered detrimental to the enjoyment of other players. 

1. FPS LIMITS
Please be aware that many of our players have purchased upgraded and high performance blasters, including the use of gas and high pressure air (HPA) devices. While we do not have an fps limit, any player who intentionally uses a gel blaster in a manner that is intended to inflict pain or damage to another person, will be banned immediately from our field. This includes deliberately attempting to influence the performance of a blaster (for example: by over-pressuring their HPA rigs) beyond a reasonable limit. 
The purpose of this rule, is to enable players whom exceed the 300fps limit elsewhere a place to use their blasters. It is NOT intended for people to behave in a manner that may endanger or harm another player. 
Referee's will be considered the final adjudicator as to if a gun is 'too hot' to participate on our field. Chronographs and tournament locking may be used to enforce this rule. 

2. REFEREES WORD IS FINAL. 
Referees may make any call, or decision they deem fit to provide enjoyable content, and fair and safe game-play for all participants. 
Any decision made by a referee is indisputable, and final. 
Referees will conduct themselves in a fair, and impartial manner. 

3. NO CLIMBING OR JUMPING. 
Under no circumstances shall any player climb on, or over any obstacles. Elevated positions must only be accessed via the stairways and safe access provided. 

4. CALL YOUR HITS. 
When you are hit on any portion of your body, or your gear (including your gun) you are considered HIT. You must immediately raise your hand, shout HIT and retreat to the designated location for hit players of your team. 
Players who persistently do not call their hits, will be banned from playing at Gel City. There is zero tolerance for deliberate cheating of any kind. 

5. DO NOT CALL YOUR OPPONENTS HITS. 
If you are playing in the game, you are not a referee. 
You must not yell at an opposing player that he is cheating, or not calling hits. 
If you believe a player is cheating, loudly shout "REF!" and a referee will attend to your location. Do not engage in arguments over hit calling. 

6. TWO TO TANGO RULE. 
It always takes two to tango. If a serious argument occurs, ALL involved parties will be removed for 1 game to cool off. This time will not be refundable. 
Players who continue to argue and create an environment that is not conducive to the enjoyment of other patrons, will result in eviction and possible bans. 

7. BLIND FIRING.
Players must have 'eyes directly on' their target, looking down the gun when firing at an opponent. Players may not stick their blaster over, around, under or through any obstacle, window/door or obstruction without maintaining direct line of sight with the barrel and foresight of the blaster. 

8. SLIDING AND RUSHING. 
Our field has been built with both speedball and CQB players in mind. We request that all players who are engaged in sliding, or rushing style play to be mindful of obstacle and other constructions. Excessive contact causing damage to the field and obstacles is not permitted, and may result in injury. 

9. OTHER MISCONDUCT.
Any behavior not covered by these rules, that endangers a player or other participants, including but not limited to aggressive behavior, swearing, abuse, threats of, or physical acts of violence, and other anti-social  behavior, (at the sole discretion of the on-field referees or management staff) will be punishable by a ban, and immediate eviction from the venue. Serious breaches of this rule may result in referral to the police.  

10. GREEN ZONE / SPECTATORS AREA
All players will remove their magazines and ensure their blaster is completely safe before entering the green zone with it uncovered. Under no circumstances shall any player have a magazine in their blaster, or fire their blaster within the green zone. ALL firing is to be done on the field, including dry firing. Eye protection will be worn by all players when any blaster is being fired on the field. 

11. EYE PROTECTION (EYEPRO) is MANDATORY
Unless the field has been deemed 'safe' by a referee, all players will wear eye protection while within the field/game area. Eye protection may only be removed when instructed to do so by referees.
